WHERE TO SEEK PRAYER
Here at North Grand our pastors, staff, and volunteers are here to make you feel heard and prayed for. Our staff and North Grand Prayer Team is available to pray with you and help you grow in your relationship with Christ. We believe that prayer is an essential part of our community and how we fellowship with one another. If you are looking for prayer, please contact us through one of our prayer options: email, phone call, text message, Facebook message, Church Center App, Echo Prayer App, in person, through our paper "Connect Card", or through our online "Connect" card.
Visit us in person during our office hours Monday-Friday from 9 AM - 12 PM or worship with us on Sundays during 9 AM - 10:30 AM where our staff is available to pray with you.
Fill out our online "Connect" Card by clicking the button below. Your prayer requests will be immediately sent to us. All prayer requests are kept private unless others stated on the card.

MISSION & VISION
North Grand's Prayer Team works to connect individuals who want prayer with individuals who will lift them up in prayer.
NEED PRAYER?
We want every person who sends a request to receive a timely response and consistent communication as updates come in about the prayer. The North Grand Prayer Team makes sure every prayer is kept confidential and only given to those the person being prayed for has consented too.
GOALS OF THE PRAYER TEAM
- To receive prayer requests & pray over those requests in a timely manner.
- To function as a confidential team, keeping the trust of people submitting requests.
- To stay connected with the prayer community of North Grand.
- To display a community of believers who believe in the power of prayer.
WHO IS ON THE PRAYER TEAM?
Not just anyone should serve on the prayer team; in the same way, not everyone can play guitar on the worship team, work in children’s ministry or lead a small group. The Prayer Team members have already been chosen by the leadership of the church, the Prayer Team leader (Judy Covey), and have all individually agreed to hold certain values. The North Grand Prayer Team leader and the individuals who make up the team must be gifted and display the spiritual discipline of prayer, alongside the following criteria seen below:
The prayer team is lead by Judy Covey and is made up of:
- 10-12 individuals who are active within the day to day life of the church
- Who display Christ-like character
- Has a heart for prayer
- Believes in the power of prayer
- Holds the theological views of North Grand and supports the leadership, mission, and vision of the church
- Keeps prayers and messages confidential
- Does not pass judgement or bias to those needing prayer
- Is a baptized believer
WHY KEEP THINGS CONFIDENTIAL?
North Grand Christian Church leadership and prayer team believe it is important to keep people’s private lives private. It is not our job as the church to share people’s private matters without their consent. This is why any prayer request given to a pastor, staff, the prayer team leader, bible study member, and/or prayer team member is kept confidential and only given to those the person being prayed for wants the prayer to go to.
ALL PRAYER REQUESTS MUST COME FROM THE PERSON DIRECTLY, not from a family member or friend. If a prayer is given that is not your own, it will be kept confidential between the prayer team ONLY.
This is to ensure we are not sharing what is not ours to share. Regardless of the love we have for someone, we must respect them and their boundaries.
We know, as a church we have a big and loving community. We encourage prayer sharing in individual groups. We understand many have small groups, bible studies, and discipleship partners they share prayers with. We believe this is important, but we also believe the prayer team will allow us to share prayers with the church, while keeping confidentiality and community. THE PRAYER PROCESS
SEND IN PRAYER
Send in your prayer requests via one of the options below, if not sent to northgrandprayerteam@gmail.com, the prayer will be forwarded to Judy Covey (Prayer Team Leader).

WHO GETS PRAYER?
To keep confidentiality, all prayers must come with consent to share with at least one or all of the following options:
Pastors, Prayer Team, and/or Congregation*
*Will be posted on digital bulletin, Echo Prayer App, & Church Center App
PRAYER SENT OUT
The prayer team leader (Judy Covey) will send out the prayer to whomever you consented it going to from “Step Two” immediately after getting details. The Prayer Team focuses on making sure each prayer has a quick response.
Once the prayer is sent out, if you consented to the congregation receiving the prayer, it will be sent out via church apps (Church Center & Echo Prayer App) and Thursday weekly newsletter. More details about the apps found in the next pages.
PRAYER UPDATED
The prayer team leader or the prayer team member you shared the prayer request with will be in contact with you various times throughout the request to check in (at least once a week) to see how you are doing, & ask for any updates that can be shared with the appropriate parties consented to in “Step Two”.
Once the prayer is answered, it will come off all consented to prayer lists. If there is not any updates, the prayer will stay on the prayer list for four week, then get taken off.
HOW TO VIEW & DOWNLOAD THE PRAYER LIST ON OUR CHURCH CENTER APP
- Head to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store
- Search for “Church Center”
- Download the App
- Once downloaded, open the app
- Click “Get started”
- Click “Use my location” or search for North Grand Christian Church
- Once you find the church, click “This is my church”
- Now enter your phone number or email
- Next, enter the 6-digit code sent to your email or phone number
- Once signed in, you’ll be taken to our home page pictured above
- Open the Church Center App
- Click the “More” at the bottom of the screen
- Scroll down to “Prayer List”
- Click “Prayer List”
- You’re all set! You can now send prayer requests and view the rest of the church’s public requests.
HOW TO VIEW & DOWNLOAD THE PRAYER LIST ON OUR ECHO PRAYER APP
- Head to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store
- Find “Echo Prayer App”
- Download the App
- Create a login or sign into the app
- Click the “Menu” on the left
- Click “FEEDS”
- Search “North Grand Christian Church”
- Add our feed to yours, and your set up to receive prayer requests.
- Open the Echo Prayer App
- Click the three lines at the top left of the screen
- Next, Click “Feeds” in the drop down arrow
- If you have already found North Grand Christian Church, click the church to view the list.
- If you haven’t, click “Find A New Feed”
- Type “North Grand Christian Church” into the church feed
- Once you find the page, add to your feed and you are set!
